We are excited to launch the
“Step it Up! Fall Steps Challenge”
October 13th- November 9th
This is a 4 Week Individual Challenge based on counting steps (pedometer). We love this challenge because it gets folks moving in a fun, effective way. Fitness is really about small steps adding up to great results and Fall in Taos is the perfect time to be outside and enjoy moving in the crisp, clean air!
This Challenge is for YOU! We’ll have a little fun with friendly competition and offer some great prizes for motivation, but ultimately this is about getting ourselves moving more and that’s a WIN for everyone!
You can do this Challenge anywhere! It works if you’re traveling, works if you’re outside, it works on a treadmill- move your way, where you are! All you need are a tracking device that you wear all day and a computer or smart phone where you’ll log in your steps. We will track it all from there! Easy!
Here’s what to do now to participate:
* Let us know you want to sign up and pay the $10 fee (skin in the game, right?). We also need your current email as that’s how we’ll communicate as we go along. CLICK HERE TO EMAIL AURA
* Choose your device. You can go old school with a simple pedometer and manually log your steps or sync with your tech (Fit Bit, Apple watch). Some people use their phones. Do what’s right for you.
* Establish your baseline. Now is the time to determine how many steps are you currently averaging in a day. Note your average number of daily steps over the next week or so. This will give you a starting point for the Challenge!
*We will be using a website called “Daily Endorphin” to administer the Challenge. We will email you information on how to log in, join the Challenge and use your “dashboard” there to track your progress and the competition.
*Join us on Wednesday, October 9th at the studio at 5pm for a quick half hour orientation. We will explain how the Challenge works and answer all your questions so that we're all ready to go on the 13th.
*Prizes will go to the Top 3 Steppers at the end of our Challenge:
1st Prize: Personal Training Session or Fitness Consultation with David or Aura and an awesome Aurafitness insulated water bottle.
2nd Prize: A Punch Card for 6 Classes and a snazzy Aurafitness tee shirt.
3rd Prize: A Bamboo Boutique gift certificate for $30
